Welcome to My Corner of the World

Every life is a collection of stories, over the years I have been fortunate enough to gather more than my fair share. Through travels near and far, unexpected adventures from dog showing to tree planting, to mismanaging musicians and wandering around the North of Spain searching for the meaning of my life.

I have discovered that many have a story worth telling. This blog is a place where I may share experiences, reflections and observations that I hope you will enjoy.

A Tale of Two Roads

We each travel our own path through life, drawn by experiences, places and people that resonate with something deep within us. A pilgrimage is more than just a journey across different lands, it is an 'inward journey' inviting reflection, a greater understanding of ourselves and the world around us, a sense of self discovery.

The branching of these two paths made me ponder which to take and how we are often faced with choices, that until the steps are taken, we do not always know where they lead. 

Behind the Mask

We all wear masks of one kind or another (this is my daughter at a Masquerade Ball we organised for our small local village, where the adults and children got to make and wear their own masks, much to their excitement).

We hide behind the masks of 'normality', presenting to the world only fragments of who we are. Yet behind every smile, every encounter, there is a story to be shared, revealing our secrets, our humanity and connectedness.
